Beat the Bugs is a six week community hygiene course aiming to increase awareness and change behaviour around antibiotic use. The course comprises six sessions covering an Introduction to Microbes, Hand and Respiratory hygiene, Food hygiene, Oral hygiene, Antibiotics and a final session on self-care and action planning for the future. 

Kingfisher Treasure Seekers worked with PHE to develop these fantastic set of resources which can be downloaded from the official Beat the Bugs website.

Beat the Bugs course at Kingfisher Treasure Seekers is run by our training team led by Gill Parkinson

When

The course runs at various points throughout the year. Unfortunately due to lockdown restrictions we are unable to offer this course at the current time; however if you would like to express an interest in attending our next course please email [email protected] and we will contact you as soon as more information is available.

Where

Kingfisher Treasure Seekers often hosts Beat the Bugs courses at the Treasure Seekers Hub. We are able to run courses at other locations, such as schools, upon request.

Cost

Depending on location. Ranging from free to £18 for the course.
