Mental Health Support Teams: The Trailblazer Programme

The Mental Health Support Teams' (MHSTs') main role is to provide earlier care for children and young people who may be experiencing mild to moderate or early symptoms of mental health problems, which tend to be outside the scope of traditional NHS services. Providing this additional resource to support early intervention, appropriate signposting and delivery of focused, evidence-based interventions will improve collaboration between schools and mental health services and enable earlier and more effective mental health support for children, young people, their families and carers.  The Trailblazer programme will link a number of approaches, including working across the system to deliver a comprehensive training programme to increase knowledge and understanding of mental health, trauma and implementation of restorative practice, building resilience.

Know Your Patch Gloucester Network

We believe that thriving communities are key to good lives. Connecting Gloucestershire with local people, places and things that can help them will in turn help people live well and worry less. Most people prefer to find their own solutions. When we get better at helping those people we reduce pressure on services. We are proud of the community opportunities which exists in Gloucestershire and we work hard to help people make best use of these. Know Your Patch builds networks for those working with individuals and groups to help people stay independent for longer and to lead full and happier lives.

Know Your Patch has a network of organisations in each district in Gloucestershire. These networks meet quarterly for networking and discussion and communicate through email bulletins and updates. These networks help connect VSCE and statutory organisations together for effective partnership working. We currently have around 220 organisations signed up to the network. For More information see www.knowyourpatch.org.uk

Gloucester Youth Forum

Gloucester Youth Forum began in 2018 in order to bring organisations working with young people together to share best practice, network and work together for the good of the young people of Gloucester. Currently we have over 35 organisations represented from both VSCE and statutory sectors and we are open to anyone joining who works with young people in Gloucester.

The Forum meets every 2 months in a variety of venues around the city. For more information visit www.glosyouthforum.org.uk
