Outcomes

Whilst, at first glance, it seems we are broad in our outcomes, we in fact have a sharp focus on improving the overall wellbeing of disadvantaged individuals. Our area of real expertise is reaching the 'hard to reach'. We reach, in great numbers, cohorts who others struggle to engage with; people with complex needs, people with personality disorders, high intensity users of services, adults with learning disabilities and disengaged young people on the edge of criminality.

We have developed our range of services as a direct response to the needs being presented, and we have become broad in delivery because we have the one, very special thing that is needed to see sustained engagement - trust. Our various activities and services contribute to deepening that trust and seeing people's wellbeing improved, their faith of organisations working with them developed, and a re-engaging in wider community life taking place.  If you want to see the same outcomes in people, and wish to partner with or support us, please get in touch.

Building Stronger Communities

People who are a fully participating member of community life have better support networks, are more resilient, have a higher sense of self worth and generally a greater sense of wellbeing.

Expand

We help build stronger communities through:

  • Training and equipping leaders from all cohorts
  • Supporting activities in local communities to be purposeful and sustainable
  • Growing in understanding towards inclusivity
  • Developing key social skills to enhance community cohesion
  • Bringing people together - removing social isolation
  • Enabling people to sustain long term relationships
  • Helping people understand their place in community life

These themes run throughout most of our groups and activities but some specific examples include:

  • Coffee Morning
  • Leadership First Steps
  • Better Friendships and Relationships

  • Building resilience
  • Improving people's sense of self worth
  • Improving self-confidence
  • Growing a sense of purpose and contribution

Better Physical Health

A major barrier to people becoming 'the best version of themselves' is poor physical health. We seek to improve people's physical health through training and empowering people to take charge of their own health.

Expand

We are seeking to enable people to:

  • Access health services
  • Be empowered to manage their own health
  • Access prevention and early intervention work

These themes run throughout most of our groups and activities but some specific examples include:

  • Beat the Bugs
  • National Diabetes Prevention Programme
