We are so pleased that society is starting to open up more and more. This means that the isolation and loneliness which was felt by many of the trainees on our Anchor programme can finally be helped! We can now start looking and finding activities that help our trainees to feel they have purpose, fun and socialness in their life, and some have even started to apply for jobs. We recognise that building up a life takes time, but it has been great to be able to suggest and support different hobbies to our trainees and watch them grow more confident and come out of their shell.

One trainee has been struggling since before lockdown even started. They have now got to a place in their life where they are applying for jobs, going to interviews and have made that decision to not self harm anymore. Whilst there are still tough days/circumstances, it is amazing to see somebody wanting to better their life and seeing it actually happen!
