Update from The Cavern - March 2021

New opening hours!

The Cavern has changed it’s takeaway opening hours! We are now open and serving food Tuesday - Friday 9.30am - 4pm and Saturday 10am - 1.30pm. Some new additions to the menu include breakfast baps, toasted tea cakes and American pancakes.

Road map to freedom!

We are really excited to say, with the latest news announcement around Covid-19 that we can see some light at the end of this tunnel! We have a guide to follow for the long awaited re-opening of The Cavern. We are looking firstly at continuing with our takeaway service and putting some seating outdoors for customers from 12th April. Following this, sometime in May, we hope to have the green light to open up the doors fully again. Whilst we are really looking forward to resuming our services, please bear in mind that things like masks, social distancing and using hand sanitiser will still be required when accessing The Cavern. There will be a time that we can get back to how things were without these restrictions and our team is looking forward to that day just as much as you are. If we can work together to keep others safe now, hopefully that day will come sooner!

Events

As (fingers crossed) the doors re-open in May, we will be looking at holding some socially distanced live music events, themed evenings and getting our games area back up and running too. Volunteering opportunities

We will get in touch with all of our existing volunteers as soon as possible to chat about shifts when we’re back open. You all do such amazing work with us and we’ve missed you!

If you’re not a volunteer and would like to join the team, please head to our website and apply, or pop in to see us when we are open fully. By volunteering with us, you can learn valuable skills within the hospitality industry such as; customer service, using POS till systems and become a pro at barista style coffee making.
