Placements within School Time We have, with great success, partnered with local schools to create placement programmes for individuals struggling to maintain attendance or with extremely poor attainment. Expand These programmes are designed to give individuals a different learning environment whereby we can particularly focus on building confidence, social and communication skills, work based skills and designed to maximise attendance. We work closely with schools to ensure it is fit for purpose and ensure constant communication. We can also work with a multi-agency approach, attending professionals meetings as necessary. We have utilised this approach with young people in the process of gender transition. Students have found it helpful to spend some time in a supportive space apart from classmates. This helps to build confidence and allows space for the young person to feel more comfortable before attending school. Please contact us if you want to talk through whether this approach may be of benefit.
