About Hannah

Hannah joined our Support at The Cavern team as a Support Worker in 2021 and is on shift a couple of nights a week.

During the day, Hannah works as a civil servant. She wasn't really looking to get into the field of mental health initially but now describes herself as being extremely grateful to be part of such an important project. It has been a very important addition to her life, and a fantastic opportunity to be part of something so meaningful. She says that she has learned so much from colleagues and service users alike, and finds the job deeply fulfilling and inspiring. Hannah is looking forward to developing herself more with training courses so that she is able to give more to the role.

Hannah previously studied agriculture for food sustainability at university, and has had a huge range of jobs, from being a horse trekking guide in New Zealand, to milking cows, to cleaning. Outside of work she enjoys any activity that can be shared with her Border Collie, 'Pups' (she was named Rio, but her baby name stuck!) These activities include hill walking, camping, running and paddle boarding (when the water is warm enough!)
