Support at the Cavern is still seeing an exceptional number of people presenting as homeless. With the winter shelter opening early this year, we hope that more people will be able to have an early reprieve from the cold. We are working with P3 and the City Council to try and help secure permanent housing for at least some of our service users. Many of our service users struggle with addiction and we work with CGL to try and help those that are ready to address their addictions.

The colder, darker evenings are seeing more people presenting in crisis. Loneliness and financial struggles are recurring themes in Support at the Cavern at the moment. We have staff from the DWP come into the Cavern on Tuesdays to help make sure people are on the right benefits so they have the best chance of managing their finances and our Support staff are on hand in the evenings to help people feel more connected.

We are open 365 days a year from 6pm-11pm just behind the Cavern at 56 Westgate Street, Gloucester. If you would like any further information, please feel free to contact Pam Evans at [email protected]
