Christmas was a lovely time at Support at the Cavern with many people who had no family to go home to, coming to spend the Christmas days with us. Everyone enjoyed the festive period with food, gifts and fun!

Not everyone enjoys Christmas for one reason or another and we are now helping people cope with the aftermath of a difficult season.

Unfortunately, the very cold weather has crept in and we are inundated with homeless people seeking our help to find accommodation. There is little we can do but to make a phone call for them, which can often end in no space being available for a variety of reasons. We are working with the council and other agencies to try and find a better way moving forward.

On a brighter note, we have now had one of our service users accepted onto the Anchor project at Treasure Seekers. They have worked really hard to get to a place where they can now begin to work towards their future goals! We are extremely proud of the effort they have put in to get here and we are excited to see where this next phase takes them!

Support at the Cavern is open from 6pm-11pm, 365 days a year at 56 Westgate Street, Gloucester City Centre.
